This popular Indian street food packs a lot of flavor, as well as nutrition, in an easy to make, simple dish. It’s a great way to get some healthy protein in your diet, and the onion, peppers and hot sauce help give you some vitamin C and capsaicin which is thought to help boost your metabolism. If you aren’t familiar with Indian food, this may be a good way to get introduced to the cuisine.

Bread Omelettes are an inexpensive food. They are also very versatile, we used a more traditional Indian recipe but you could easily adapt it to just about any region. I was very tempted to add things like a slice of ham, cheese, or sausage to mine. I will certainly experiment with ingredients to make it “mine”

One important thing is the size of the skillet or griddle you are using. It has to be big enough to let the egg mix spread out far enough so that when you fold the egg, there is enough to completely enclose the bread.
